Juvelook Collagen-Stimulating Treatment

Regenerative treatment for fine lines, crepey skin and delicate areas

Juvelook is a next-generation collagen-stimulating injectable designed to improve skin quality without creating unwanted volume.

It combines PDLLA, a biodegradable collagen-stimulating material, with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid.

This makes Juvelook particularly interesting for delicate areas that have traditionally been difficult to treat, including the skin around the eyes and mouth.

At Solura Skin Clinic, I use Juvelook for patients who want gradual, natural-looking improvement in fine lines, skin firmness and overall skin quality.

What can Juvelook help with?

Juvelook may be considered for concerns including:

  • Fine lines around the eyes

  • Crepey or thinning under-eye skin

  • Crow’s feet

  • Fine lines around the mouth

  • Reduced skin firmness

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Enlarged pores

  • Acne scarring

  • General skin quality and rejuvenation

It can also be used on areas including the face, neck and décolletage where appropriate.

Why have I introduced Juvelook to Solura?

Collagen stimulators are not new to my clinic.

Sculptra is one of my favourite treatments and has a very important role in treating facial ageing, particularly where I am seeing changes in volume, support and skin laxity.

But it has its limitations.

Sculptra is not designed for injection into the delicate periocular area, and this has always left a gap when treating ageing around the eyes.

Juvelook gives me a different tool.

Its smaller PDLLA particles and superficial treatment indications make it particularly suited to areas where the concern is fine lines, crepey skin and declining skin quality rather than loss of facial volume. FILLMED specifically identifies delicate areas and concerns such as crow’s feet and perioral wrinkles among its recommended indications.

For me, that is where Juvelook becomes really exciting.

Juvelook for the under-eye area

The skin around our eyes is thin, delicate and often one of the first places we notice ageing.

Patients commonly come to me concerned about:

  • Fine lines

  • Crepey skin

  • Reduced firmness

  • Tired-looking skin

  • Changes in the tear trough area

  • Skin that simply does not look as smooth or resilient as it once did

Juvelook allows me to approach these concerns without simply adding volume underneath the eye.

A 2026 prospective study of Juvelook PDLLA-HA treatment in the under-eye region reported significant improvements in skin elasticity, hydration, overall skin quality and radiance following a series of three treatments. It was a small study, so I regard the results as promising rather than definitive, but they support what is increasingly being seen clinically with the treatment.

Juvelook around the mouth

The mouth is another area where fine lines can be particularly difficult to treat.

Sometimes dermal filler is appropriate.

Sometimes improving the quality of the skin itself makes more sense.

Juvelook can be used to target fine perioral lines and declining skin firmness without attempting to create additional lip volume.

This allows me to treat the skin around the mouth rather than automatically treating the lips themselves.

Juvelook vs Sculptra

Both treatments stimulate collagen, but I use them for different reasons.

I am more likely to consider Sculptra when I am seeing:

  • Facial volume loss

  • Reduced structural support

  • Skin laxity

  • Flattening or deflation through larger areas of the face

  • A need for broader facial rejuvenation

I am more likely to consider Juvelook when I am seeing:

  • Fine lines

  • Crepey skin

  • Reduced skin firmness

  • Delicate periocular ageing

  • Perioral lines

  • Texture concerns

  • A desire to improve skin quality without adding noticeable volume

One is not automatically better than the other.

They are different tools.

In some patients, they may even form part of the same longer-term treatment plan.

Why Juvelook, and why now?

Juvelook was developed in South Korea by VAIM and has been used there for several years.

I deliberately did not introduce it to Solura as soon as it arrived in the UK.

I am quite cautious about new aesthetic treatments.

I prefer to watch how products perform outside their original market, look at emerging clinical evidence, see how experienced practitioners are using them and understand where they genuinely add something to the treatments I already offer.

Juvelook became officially available to UK medical practitioners through FILLMED in 2025 following its strategic partnership with Korean manufacturer VAIM.

Since then, both the European experience and emerging clinical data have made me increasingly interested in the treatment.

For me, it now fills a genuine gap within Solura rather than simply adding another injectable to the treatment menu.

What happens during treatment?

Your appointment starts with a consultation and assessment.

We will discuss:

  • Your medical history

  • Previous aesthetic treatments

  • What has changed

  • What bothers you

  • What you would realistically like to improve

  • Whether Juvelook is the most appropriate treatment

Clinical photographs are taken before treatment.

Juvelook is then carefully placed into the appropriate areas using a technique selected according to the treatment area and your individual anatomy.

Treatment planning is personalised rather than using the same protocol for every patient.

When will I see results?

Juvelook is not an instant-result treatment.

The hyaluronic acid component provides hydration, while the PDLLA component is intended to stimulate gradual collagen regeneration. FILLMED describes visible changes developing over the weeks following treatment rather than immediately.

This is one of the reasons Juvelook fits so well with my approach to aesthetics.

We are looking for gradual improvement rather than an obvious overnight change.

A course of 3 treatments will usually be recommended, with the exact number and interval decided following consultation and according to the area being treated.

Is there downtime?

As with any injectable treatment, temporary reactions may include:

  • Redness

  • Swelling

  • Tenderness

  • Bruising

  • Small areas of swelling around injection points

More significant complications are uncommon but possible with injectable treatments and will be discussed fully before treatment.

You will receive individual aftercare advice following your appointment.

Who is Juvelook for?

Juvelook may be particularly appealing if you:

  • Are noticing early signs of skin ageing

  • Are bothered by fine or crepey under-eye skin

  • Have fine lines around the mouth

  • Want to improve skin quality rather than create volume

  • Prefer gradual, natural-looking results

  • Are interested in regenerative and collagen-stimulating treatments

It will not be appropriate for everybody.

Suitability is assessed following review of your medical history, anatomy, skin and treatment goals.

Do I need to know whether I need Juvelook before booking?

Absolutely not.

In fact, I would rather you did not feel that you had to diagnose yourself.

Come and tell me what you are noticing.

From there, we can decide whether Juvelook, Sculptra, polynucleotides, a skin treatment, dermal filler or something completely different is the most appropriate option.
